Where We Are Now: Progress on Our Farmshop Journey!
As we gear up for our grand opening in Easter 2025, things are starting to take shape, and we’re thrilled to see our vision for this new space slowly becoming a reality. We hope you’re as excited as we are, so here’s a little peek at where we are right now in the process.
Fencing the Build Site
As we move forward with construction, we’ve begun putting up the fencing around the build site. This is a key step in making sure everything stays secure and organized during the construction process. It’s also a clear sign that things are happening, and the farmshop is officially underway! The fencing will help define the boundaries of our space, and as the site develops, we can’t wait for you to see how everything is shaping up.
Recladding the Existing Shed
One of the first steps in getting our farmshop ready has been giving the existing shed a much-needed makeover. The shed will be reclad to create a welcoming and functional space that will house our farmshop and café. We’re putting a lot of thought into how the building will fit into the local landscape and reflect the rustic charm of Scottish farming. Our goal is to create a space that feels warm, inviting, and connected to the land it comes from, and we’re excited to see this transformation take place over the coming months!
Getting the Utilities in Place
We’re also focused on getting all the necessary utilities and infrastructure in place for the farmshop to run smoothly. This includes everything from water and electricity to waste management and heating. Making sure these essential services are set up properly is crucial for creating a comfortable and sustainable environment for both our customers and staff. As we work with local contractors to get everything up and running, it’s exciting to see the pieces of the puzzle come together.
Looking Ahead
We’re in the midst of some busy but exciting times, and we’re thrilled to be making progress every day. From the recladding of the shed to the installation of utilities and the fencing going up, every step is moving us closer to the day when we can open our doors to you. We have big plans ahead and will be bringing you great food and produce soon!
